A nice run by PELLEGRINI on the left was capped by a delightful cross which LEWANDOWSKI headed home from inside the penalty box. (1-0 Ajax) 21¹ A penalty box scramble resulted in TIMBER driving the ball over. 29¹ A twenty-five yard drive from KEHRER caused LENO no problem. 33¹ SAMARDZIC beat HAVERTZ and whacked the ball to WOLTEMADE who dragged his effort wide. 36¹ PELLEGRINI flicked a deadly shot wide from twenty yards out. 39¹ GOAL!! A tackle from HAZARD gave FC Schalke 04 a free-kick thirty yards out which WEIGL thundered past the Ajax 'keeper. (1-1) 41¹ GOAL!! A free-kick was punched clear by the Ajax 'keeper, WEIGL was first to the loose ball and chipped the ball to ZIYECH to fire home.
