An outswinging corner booted out by BERNAT was lashed into the back of the net by PAVÓN. A great twenty-five yard shot from PAVÓN rebounded off the the crossbar and in the ensuing scramble the ball was headed into the net by SOTTIL. (3-2 Independiente) 25² A good effort from MÁS scraped the outside of the post. 27² GOAL!! A long ball from SOTTIL had the Real Madrid defence back-pedalling and ALONSO made the most of the opportunity with a good goal. (4-2 Independiente) 30² VECINO's shot was well saved by the Independiente 'keeper. 38² CUTRONE rattled a simple chance past the righthand post. 39² JESÚS VALLEJO beat four Independiente players and drove a great chance just beyond the near post.
